Michelin Restaurants in Abu Dhabi – 2025 Guide is Out!

The 2025 edition of the MICHELIN Guide Abu Dhabi has been released! Celebrating its third year in the capital, the world-renowned guide celebrates the city’s culinary landscape.

Being awarded a spot in the Michelin Guide signifies recognition of exceptional culinary quality and service. It highlights a restaurant’s commitment to consistency, creativity, and excellence, marking it as a distinguished dining experience in the industry.

So, if you’re looking for some exceptional dining spots in Abu Dhabi, picking somewhere awarded a spot in the Michelin guide can be a great start!

Michelin-Starred Restaurants

Being awarded a Michelin Star is one of the highest honours in the culinary world, signifying outstanding cooking that is worth a special visit. A Michelin Star indicates excellence in quality, technique, creativity, and consistency, reflecting the chef’s skill and the restaurant’s ability to deliver a remarkable dining experience.

All four Michelin-starred restaurants in Abu Dhabi retained their stars in the 2025 Guide, showcasing consistent quality and culinary excellence. These restaurants are:

  • Erth: A modern Emirati restaurant known for its innovative take on traditional cuisine (Cultural Foundation)
  • 99 Sushi Bar: An upscale Japanese eatery celebrated for its refined and delicate dishes (The Galleria, Four Seasons)
  • Hakkasan: A renowned destination for contemporary Cantonese cuisine, blending tradition with modern techniques (Emirates Palace)
  • Talea by Antonio Guida: A sophisticated Italian restaurant led by acclaimed chef Antonio Guida, offering authentic flavours with a touch of elegance (Emirates Palace)

Bib Gourmand Recipients

Recognizing excellent value, two newly added restaurants received the coveted Bib Gourmand award for 2025. These join five other restaurants that have retained this distinction:

New Bib Gourmand Recipients:

  • Mika: Located at Yas Marina, this restaurant offers Mediterranean flavours inspired by the Riviera. They were commended for their flavorful and fresh Mediterranean dishes.
  • ryba: A seafood spot in Al Mina souq, specializing in local fish cooked over a charcoal grill has been celebrated for affordable fish and seafood specialties.

They join five existing Bib Gourmand recipients:

  • t’azal: Known for its creative Middle Eastern dishes in a stylish setting (Al Qana)
  • Al Mrzab: Showcasing traditional Emirati and Kuwaiti flavors (Airport Road)
  • Beirut Sur Mer: A Lebanese coastal cuisine restaurant with a seafood focus (Marsana, Saadiyat Island)
  • Otoro: A well-loved spot for authentic Japanese sushi and sashimi (Al Qana)
  • Almayass: Offering a fusion of Lebanese and Armenian dishes (The Galleria Mall)

Further Additions to the Abu Dhabi Michelin Guide 2025

A further three restaurants are now found on the Abu Dhabi Guide, bringing the listing in total to an incredible 48 venues:

  • Bord Eau by Nicolas Isnard: A French classic in Abu Dhabi, inspired by its original in Côte-d’Or (Shangri-La)
  • Em Sherif Sea Café: An authentic Lebanese eatery continuing the culinary legacy of the Hayek family (Rosewood Hotel).
  • Broadway: A chic American brasserie (Emirates Palace)

Special Awards 2025

The 2025 MICHELIN Guide Abu Dhabi also honours individual achievements and standout experiences with its Special Awards:

  • Young Chef Award: Yasmina Hayek from Em Sherif Sea Café was recognized for her authentic Lebanese cuisine and her forward-thinking approach, continuing her family’s culinary tradition (Rosewood Hotel)
  • Welcome and Service Award: The team at Mika, praised for their warm and attentive hospitality under Chef-Owner Mario Loi.
  • Opening of the Year: ryba, recognized for its fresh seafood-focused menu and the passion of local Chef-Owner Faisal Mohamed Alharmoodi.
