Ferrari World burst onto the theme park scene and literally put Abu Dhabi on the adrenaline junkies map upon its opening in 2010.
At the time of opening, it was the largest indoor theme park in the world (since surpassed by IMG Worlds of Adventure in Dubai, then Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi, and very recently, Chimelong Spaceship in Zhuhai, China), but one big criticism leveled at this adrenaline theme park by guests was the lack of suitable children’s rides and attractions.
This was greatly improved with the opening of Ferrari Worlds’ Family Zone in 2020, which included 4 ‘replica rides’ that children under 120cm tall could access.
But what if your little adrenaline junkies are keen to ride the fastest roller coaster in the world? How long will they need to wait to enjoy the full-sized thrills of Ferrari World?

Currently, the single day, under 1.3m price for Ferrari World, is AED 265.

So is Ferrari World Worth it For Kids?
We would base this on your family’s interests and available time; if you only have one day in Abu Dhabi to enjoy the theme parks, honestly, our personal preference would be any of the other three Abu Dhabi theme parks on Yas Island would be more appropriate for those with under 10’s.
With older kids and adrenaline junkies, you might see Ferrari World jump to the top of their wishlist, especially if it’s a hot summer’s day and you are looking for the city’s best indoor attractions.

More Need-to-Know Facts for Visiting Ferrari World
Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi is located on Yas Island, less than 10 minutes away from Abu Dhabi International Airport and around 30 minutes from Downtown Abu Dhabi.
You can also reach Ferrari World in a little over an hour from many parts of Dubai – see our Dubai to Yas Island travel guide here.
Ferrari World Open Hours
Opening hours can seasonally change and may be extended over special occasions like National Day and Eid, but are generally midday to 8:00 pm.
Ferrari World Dress Code
Ferrari World has no strict dress code beyond the normal cultural dress standards required in Abu Dhabi and the UAE. Respectful dress would see ladies avoiding tight, clinging or transparent clothing and showing too much skin whilst in a Muslim country.
However, as you will be enjoying rides involving high speeds, we’d recommend ladies look to have their hair tied back and avoid excessive jewelry and accessories. There are lockers to store items on the particular fast rides, but you don’t want to take gear on and off all day and risk losing anything valuable.
Like any theme park, comfy trainers are always going to be better than flip-flops or slip-on shoes. Bear in mind that some driving and climbing activities will require you to only wear closed-toe shoes.
