In a great new addition to the family entertainment scene on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island, Ferrari World has now launched an extension to their Family Zone, making even more rides at the popular UAE theme park accessible to the junior crowd.
Previously, Ferrari World was really seen as a theme park for teens and adults due to many rides having height restrictions – we explain all fo the Ferrari World ride height restrictions here!
New rides at Ferrari World
Bringing an exciting selection of four brand new rides in reach of those under 1.3m, the new rides within the Family Zone include:
Formula Rossa Junior
A smaller version of the legendary Formula Rossa – the fastest roller coaster in the world. Guest from as small as 0.9m accompanied or over 1.2m on their own can enjoy the thrills and twists of this miniature coaster that reached 45km an hour.

Turbo Tower
An adaption of the park’s popular Turbo Track, the Turbo Tower thrusts riders 13.5m meters into the air for spectacular views over the park before experiencing a zero-gravity fall. Riders can join from 1.05m tall and unaccompanied from 1.2m

Flying Wings
For those not yet ready for the adrenaline thrill of Flying Aces (minimum 1.3m), take on the airborne flying experience of Flying Wings.

Speedway Race
A smaller-scale version of Junior GP on a fixed track, guests as small as 0.9m (1.2m accompanied) can enjoy riding their own car with fast and slow speeds in complete control.

Whether you’re planning your first trip to Ferrari World, or you haven’t been in a few years and wondering if it’s worth bringing the kids along, this is a significant win for the littles adrenaline junkies in your house.
โWe can finally show our younger guests what itโs like to be a โbig kidโ at our legendary theme park!โ said Bianca Sammut, General Manager of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, on the opening of the Family Zone rides.
There will be more celebrations and new attractions to come to Ferrari World later this year in line with their 10-year anniversary celebrations.
