With its state-of-the-art attractions, interactive exhibits, and captivating shows, this brand-new park is set to become a must-visit destination for travellers and locals alike. Dive into adventure and discover the wonders that await you at the latest addition to Yas Island’s entertainment paradise.
What to Expect at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi
- The 2-million-square-foot indoor theme park is spread over 5 levels and home to 68,000 marine creatures.
- The theme park includes eight unique “realms”, simulating the natural habitat of different marine species. Guests will explore these underwater environments with immersive storytelling and cutting-edge technology.
- In true UAE style, everything is bigger and better. The new marine park on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island houses the world’s largest and most expansive marine aquarium, with 25 million litres of water.
- The central point of the aquarium is a 20-metre-tall vertical window, “Endless Ocean,” set out across multiple levels, this is a fabulous immersive aquarium experience.
- The park also includes 15 interactive ride experiences and a huge daily line-up of shows and presentations, including character meet and greets, feeding times, kids’ entertainment and dolphin presentations.
- There is an adjoining (though separately ticketed) Research and Rescue Centre, which offers tours and a regular Science Talk series.
- Open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily, you could easily fill a complete day exploring this one theme park. Alternatively, expect to skip some of the presentations and rides if you want to combine your visit with one of the other Yas theme parks.
We are putting the finishing touches on our SeaWorld review to step you through exactly what to expect with lots of pictures and video for you to get a better feel of what’s happening inside!
In this post, we’re going to focus specifically on the best way to organise your tickets to SeaWorld Abu Dhabi.
How Much Are SeaWorld Abu Dhabi Tickets?
You can buy day tickets just for SeaWorld Abu Dhabi or combine and save by purchasing multi-pass tickets to the other Yas Island theme parks in Abu Dhabi. Presently (as of mid-2024), the online price for Adult theme park tickets to the Yas theme parks are:
- 1 park from AED 375
- 2 parks from AED 475
- 3 parks from AED 575
- 4 parks from AED 675
At SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, you can get junior passes at a discounted price of AED 290 for kids under 1.1m tall; under 3’s are always free.
These are the online prices; you’ll pay 10% more when you buy tickets at the gate, so it always pays to buy your tickets a day in advance online. This can be from the Yas Island website, the theme parks themselves (rates quoted above), or you may find cheaper bundled deals through licenced ticket resellers, e.g.:
- Platinumlist Multi-Park Tickets
- Check ticket prices on Get Your Guide or see their multi-park pass pricing
- See Multi-Day Yas Theme Park options on Viator – they’re quite good at offering deals which combine transport
- Tiqets may also occasionally run some discounts – though we’ve found theirs always equate to the face value
These third-party deals constantly change, so we haven’t put exact pricing here – we’ll let you do your own research as some ticket bundles include transportation or other city attractions, so they’re not directly comparable! (Note these are affiliate links, we make a commission on purchases).
If you’re weighing up the value of transport being combined with your tickets, it would cost you in the vicinity of AED 300 to get a taxi from Dubai to Yas Island or AED 40 to 80 for a taxi within Abu Dhabi – that’s if you choose not to avail the complimentary Yas Expess bus services.
Another ticketing option to consider is using the Dubai Go City Explorer Pass. Despite its labelling ‘Dubai’, it covers major attractions across the UAE, including all 4 of the Yas theme parks. Depending on the attractions you pick, you can save up to 40% on the face value so makes an excellent option for UAE tourists.
Add on Experiences at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi
For those super-passionate about their marine life, there are add-on encounter experiences available which can be purchased on the day (subject to availability), ranging from AED 75 for the Dugoong Experience, through to AED 1295 for an immersive Sea Dive.
Is it worth getting Quick Pass and Premium Seating For SeaWorld?
The focus at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is far more on walking around the park and enjoying the displays, than the rides. The shows are another attraction that can be busy and you may appreciate having ‘priority seating’ – but to pay an additional AED per person?
In our experience so far, not worth it. Unless you’re trying to pack as much as possible into one day and visit multiple parks, just set aside enough time that you will queue a little, but it’s nothing like the queues that can build at other parks.
The exception to this is if you are visiting on a busy public holiday such as Eid, then you will defintiely see the value in the Quick Pass!
Other SeaWorld Payment Methods For UAE Residents
For those living in the UAE, there are a few other offers and ways you can get a discount, including:
- Use loyalty points, including Etihad Guest Miles and ADCB Touchpoints to pay for tickets
- Utilise Afterpay services like Tabby or PostPay
- Look out for occasional 4-for-3 resident offers throughout the year – get on the Yas Island mailing list if you want to pounce when these deals come up
Stay and Play Packages Yas Island
The best way for tourists to Abu Dhabi to save on theme park tickets is to take up one of the ‘Stay and Play‘ offers frequently offered by the hotels on Yas Island. They include Kids Go Free offers, plus your choice of one theme park per night you stay and dining deals and discounts, all included with your hotel stay.
We’ll include the links here to the hotels we know frequently offer these deals (but they are subject to change, so please check the validity dates and how many tickets you get! These are not affiliate links and we’re not associated with the hotels, just sharing the love on where you can get the best SeaWorld Abu Dhabi deals)
Etihad Discounts For SeaWorld
Another place to look out for a discount on Abu Dhabi theme park tickets is using your Etihad boarding pass to get a 15% discount at the door (we think the advertising on this one is a little off though; bear in mind you pay 10% more at the door vs buying online, you’re really only saving 5%) – still, it’s a discount worth knowing about!
More Theme Parks on Yas Island
Combining your trip to Yas Island with the other theme parks makes a lot of sense – not just the ticket savings but these truly are some of the best theme parks in the world (and yes, we’ve travelled to many other theme parks in Orlando and around the world to boldly make this claim!)
We’re also happy to help you with our detailed visitor guides to:
