Since we first drafted this article, it also looks like the DCT has set up its own booking site with the option to select your tickets online to a vast range of Abu Dhabi’s top attractions, cheaper than you can get on the attractions’ own websites! These options include

  • Nano Pass – select from a shortlist of activities already pre-bundled (AED 25)
  • Build Your Own Pass – discounted tickets you can bundle yourself (including Welcome Pack AED 50)
  • Pay as You Explore – singular tickets to a wide range of attractions without a discount (AED 30)

The Build Your Own Pass is the best option for saving money. It starts with a base cost, then you can add from a list of over 30 discounted attractions and activities, such as:

  • Yas Island 4 Park Pass – normally AED 679, Get for AED 652 (door price AED 330 per park!)
  • The National Aquarium All Access – normally AED 191, get for AED 162
  • Corniche Boat Tour – normally AED 199, get for AED 149
  • Snow Park Premium – normally AED 297, get for AED 253

When choosing this option, you also get the Welcome Kit described above and FREE entry to Qasr Al Watan. If applicable, differential pricing will appear for kids’ tickets when you go to pay.

For even more convenience, you can now purchase the pass via app – Google Play and IoS App Store

Comparable Passes in the UAE

Until now, there hasn’t been a great dedicated pass for exploring Abu Dhabi, like you would find in Dubai with deals such as the iVenture Dubai Pass and Go City Dubai.

Despite its name, Go City Dubai is the next best alternative we’ve found for Yas theme park tickets, with Yas Waterworld and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi included in their Explorer Pass tickets.

Otherwise, Viator has several tour operators with package deals to consider; here’s a small selection:

Another thing to bear in mind, particularly for families, is that you can get your theme park tickets included when you stay at one of the Yas Island Hotels. So think carefully about whether you will get full value from a package deal with Yas Park passes or are better off adding some unique cultural and desert experiences with a bundled pass.

We think this is a great step forward for Abu Dhabi tourism and will help you save money while consolidating all your attraction tickets into one booking, which is ideal for an Abu Dhabi stopover.
