Bursting onto the scene last year, this Irish pub has quickly become one of our favourite nightlife venues in Abu Dhabi.
By day, brilliant hearty meals, family-friendly drinks, and dining; by night, the sports bar comes alive as a dancing haven for those who want to let their hair down to live music.
Big outdoor screens plus multiple HD indoor screens mean you’ll never miss a minute of live sporting action. An extensive daily Happy Hour 9:00 am to 8:00 pm means its also gentle on the pocket for those day games.

The Keg Room
The new kid on the block, this Aussie-themed local pub is a sports fan’s delight. Multiple screens across the room broadcast everything from Aussie Rules Football and the NRL to the EPL and cricket.
The food is on point, too, with a distinctly Aussie menu, generous portion sizes, and reasonable drink prices (catch Happy Hour midday to 7:00 PM daily). Breakfast has just been introduced on Saturdays and Sundays. Yep, there’s avo on toast while you watch the AFL action!
In the winter months, the Al Zeina Plaza area also features an outdoor beer garden with plenty of room for kids to scoot and run about.

The Irish Vickers (WTC & Al Raha Beach)
With two branches, one at the World Trade Centre on Abu Dhabi Corniche and the other at the Al Raha Beach Hotel, the Irish Vickers has sports fans in Abu Dhabi covered.
The Al Raha Beach branch contains all that you could ask for in a sports bar: authentic decor, live music, plenty of screens, as well as dart boards and pool tables. It also serves up some excellent pub grub, just like its brother at the WTC.
Open 4.00 pm until 4.00 am Monday to Thursday and 12.00 pm until 4.00 am Friday to Sunday.

Appaloosa Sports Bar
Appaloosa can be a pleasant change if you want an escape from often dark and enclosed sports bars. This bright and airy modern sports bar has both indoor and outdoor seating and an abundance of screens.
Hearty pub classic meals and generous salads are on the menu, but watch for weekly specials like Brews and Bros, Social Saturdays Brunch, and Happy Tummies weekends with kids eat free deals.

Brown Lion Gastropub
Another Marriott venue, only opening in 2025, the Brown Lion Gastropub is the new home to the city’s longest happy hour!
If there’s ever an incentive to try out this newcomer, 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm daily, will see discounted drink deals offered. This is in addition to awesome weekday business lunch deals, Tuesday Ladies nights, Thursday steak nights, Saturday BBQ Burnch, and Sunday Roast specials.
And of course, there’s live sport! An excellent array of screens spread across the bar ensures you’re never far from the action with a frosty one in hand.

Victor’s Pub
An impressive island bar and big screen form the focal point for this huge sports bar. There are, however, plenty of cosy nooks and other screens around the venue, meaning that you can join in with some group conviviality or find your own quiet spot.
Pool tables are a bonus, as is a small outdoor courtyard. Enjoy brunch specials Saturday afternoon and another evening session on a Saturday – or kick off your morning with a full Irish breakfast.

Baloo’s Social Bar & Grill
Just upstairs from Victor’s (although it is important to note that it is entirely separately run) is the city’s newest sporting venue, which is heavily influenced by rugby and all things South African sports. The venue is huge with a multitude of screens inside and out, and very reasonably priced.
Touted as a completely family-friendly venue, this is where you come to enjoy everything from the big match being played to enjoying a braai, taking a dip in the pool, or playing darts and arcade games. One of the city’s best new all-rounder venues is definitely worth a visit in 2026.

Sportsmans Arms
A family-friendly Gastropub where you can catch all of the sporting action. Located in Zayed Sports City, this American/Irish sports bar offers a variety of craft beers, exclusive Irish whiskeys and a large selection of fine wines.
Weekly Pizza nights and Sunday roasts make this a popular family hangout. The family terrace and Al Fesco Jackโs BBQ terrace have soft play areas for the kids.

With a menu featuring pub classics like steak, egg and chips and chicken cordon blue, as well as a selection of tempting burgers and nibbles to accompany your drinks, Easy Tiger has something for everyone.
Easy Tiger also does a mean all-day breakfast, which features the rarest of things in Abu Dhabi – Black Pudding!

A lively new local community pub on Reem Island, Adam’s offers a homely feel while you enjoy live sporting action with your mates. Its late closing time is an added bonus for those wanting to catch European sporting action.
Although their food has been reported to be a bit hit-and-miss, it has a marvellous atmosphere, an extensive selection of beers and superb outdoor terrace areas for summer nights.

Offside Gastropub
A cosy and welcoming sports bar inside one of Abu Dhabiโs premier beach resorts, Offside Gastropub features a scrumptious menu of smoked meats (think ribs and brisket, burgers and pub classics, fish and chips) as well as meter-long hot dogs! Thereโs a dedicated kids’ menu as well as theme nights. Thursdays are โBritish Curryโ night, whereas Tuesdays see mussels on the menu.

A homely British-style pub with friendly staff and a chilled-out atmosphere. The menu is varied, and the quality of the food is top-notch.

A cosy but lively place to catch the most important matches, Murphyโs also offers you the chance to compete against your friends with its array of sports activities and games.

The Boundary
A fantastic place to catch the big game live on the biggest outdoor screen in Abu Dhabi! On warmer days, you can rest assured that games will be shown on the big screens inside. A great menu and special offers include a Sunday Roast and Friday Sundowners.
Update 2025: A nasty rumour has proven true that The Boundary no longer has an alcohol licence; we’re not sure whether this is temporary or permanent, so please check before booking in case this changes your sporting plans! We’ve remained hopefully they’ll get their licence back but its been about 2 years now…

Coopers
A real-feel British Pub with indoor and outdoor spaces and multiple screens offering various day-to-day sports. You can check online here for more details about what will be shown and when.
Thereโs a great selection of food and drink with daily promotions (12.00 pm until 8.00 pm Sunday to Friday and 4.00 pm until 8.00 pm on Saturdays). Bottled beers start at 23 AED, with selected cocktails at 27 AED.

Crafty Fox
Sneaking in late to our list is another relatively new opening on the terrace at Yas Links, the Crafty Fox Gastropub.
With plenty of screens spotted around the pub for all the sporting action, as well as pool tables and an al fresco terrace bringing stunning golf course views, this is a cosy spot for your sporting action with an alfresco touch this year. Note its a 21+ only venue.

Drinking in Abu Dhabi
While we want you to have a good time in Abu Dhabi, it is important to note the following:
- The legal age to purchase and drink alcohol in Abu Dhabi is 21.
- You no longer need to present an alcoholic drinks license in Abu Dhabi, but you may need to show ID, so you should always carry some form of photographic ID with you when you go out.
