After a successful run in Dubai’s Festival City in 2022 and a brief run at Abu Dhabi Marina in Spring 2023, the incredible travelling water circus show Fontana has returned to the Big Top, this time on Yas Island, for a spectacular Spring season of family entertainment.

- Thursday 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- Friday 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM

What To Expect at a Fontana Show
A 2-hour spectacular taking place under a traditional circus Big Top tent, there’s something all the family will enjoy with the water stage taking centre stage. There’s more to it, though, with clever clowns, dare-devil motorcycle tricks, extraordinary archery, Latin dancers and unbelievable acrobatics.
Vibrant, loud, and colourful, you’re in for a breathtaking and entertaining evening of fun. Without giving too much away, here are some photo highlights:

If you’re sitting in the front row, there’s a chance you will get a small amount of water spray, but certainly not drenched. There is no need to bring a poncho, etc.

How Much Does Fontana Cost?
Tickets start at AED 90 for slightly restricted-view Green seats and go up to AED 300 for Gold premium seats in front of the stage, first three rows. Silver is a great choice to be close to the action, AED 200.
Note that doors open 30 minutes before show time; though there’s really not much to see or do, so we’d recommend getting there only 15 minutes before start time.
A refreshments stall can be found within the circus tent for popcorn, candy floss and other snacks.
They also sell flashing swords for kids during intermission; expect to be hit up by your kids to purchase one, AED 25.
Where to Find Fontana Circus in Abu Dhabi
You’ll find the distinctive blue & yellow big top tent in the large car parking lot between the new Yas Bay/Etihad Arena and the Yas Plaza Hotels (for old-timers, it’s where the old Du Forum used to be).
You can take a taxi or car directly to the door or park by simply entering “Fontana Circus Tent” in Google Maps.

Other Key Facts You’ll Want to Know About Fontana
- The minimum age to attend is 2 years+ (we did see babies attending, but be warned, many acts are LOUD and bright flashing lights; it may be a little scary for youngsters)
- Only food purchased at the concessions can be brought into the Grandstand.
- The Big Top is airconditioned to a comfortable temperature, but knowing how Abu Dhabi can be when it heats up outside, bring a shawl or cardigan to wrap up if it gets too chilly inside.
