Abu Dhabi, unlike neighbouring Dubai, has kept entertainment and events low key since coming out of COVID lockdown earlier in 2020. There will still be plenty of opportunities to countdown to New Year 2021 in the UAE capital, but be aware these will be smaller celebrations than usual with social distancing in place, maximum tables of four at any venue (unless rules change on 24 December – TBC)
